What is Database ? A database<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0an organised\u00a0collection of data<\/em>. The\u00a0main purpose<\/strong>\u00a0of database is to operate large amount of information by storing, retrieving and managing. There are many\u00a0database available<\/strong>\u00a0like MySQL, Oracle, Mango DB, Informix, Postgre, SQL Server etc.<\/p>\n

SQL<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>or Structured Query Language is used to perform operation on the data stored in a database. SQL depends on relational algebra and tuple relational calculus.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0database management system\u00a0(DBMS) is the\u00a0software\u00a0that interacts with\u00a0end users, applications, and the database itself to capture and analyse the data. The DBMS software additionally encompasses the core facilities provided to administer the database. The sum total of the database, the DBMS and the associated applications can be referred to as a \\”database system\\”. Often the term \\”database\\” is also used to loosely refer to any of the DBMS, the database system or an application associated with the database.<\/p>\n
